The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, ordered the lifting of secrecy on investigations related to the Banco Master scandal, a decision that encompasses various inquiries, including the exchange of messages between Daniel Vorcaro, the bank's owner, and Justice Alexandre de Moraes.
When complying with Fachin's request, Justice André Mendonça still maintained under judicial secrecy some of the main investigative paths pursued by the Federal Police, such as the investigation into the transfer of funds for the film "Dark Horse," a biopic of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
In the decision published Thursday evening, Mendonça made public 14 proceedings under his rapporteurship at the STF. Among these are two of the main investigations that detail the financial engineering that led to the billion-dollar shortfall at Banco Master.
The primary investigation is 5026, which serves as the central investigation for Operation Compliance Zero. It was established while the case was still under the rapporteurship of Justice Dias Toffoli, before transitioning to Mendonça's jurisdiction.
