The president of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, contacted Vicent Mompó on Wednesday to propose an urgent meeting. Both their schedules were complicated due to usual commitments, but given the imminent developments related to the PPCV, they decided to meet at the end of the afternoon, almost night, in a private meeting.
This meeting was described as a "mini-summit" and took place amid turmoil regarding the candidacy of the Valencian People's Party to the Generalitat. The identity of the future candidate remains unclear, which constitutes the main element of political uncertainty at this time.
Vicent Mompó is the former mayor of Finestrat and one of the names that may be involved in the race for the candidacy. The private meeting between the two political leaders occurs in a context of multiple open fronts for the PPCV, with the definition of the candidacy as the central issue.
