The José Saramago Municipal Library, located in Odemira, reopened its doors last Saturday, September 5. The reopening coincided with the celebration of the library's 26th anniversary.
The institution remained closed for about a year for rehabilitation works to be carried out. The interventions included works to improve the building's energy efficiency.
The works were promoted by the Odemira council, responsible for the management and maintenance of the municipal library.
With the reopening, the community of Odemira regains access to the library's services and spaces, which now operates under improved structural and energy conditions.
