The Electoral Court prohibited on Thursday the candidate for governor of Bahia ACM Neto (União Brasil) from using "naked women or women with painted bodies" in campaign events. The decision was made by Judge Mhercio Cerqueira Monteiro.
The ruling followed a petition filed by the coalition of Governor Jerónimo Rodrigues (PT), the Carlist's opponent in this year's election. In the lawsuit, the legal team of the PT candidate accused ACM Neto of irregular electoral propaganda.
The episode cited in the lawsuit occurred during a caravan held on August 28. According to the lawsuit, the irregularity would have been the "display of two women with apparently naked bodies painted with the campaign colors" on top of a sound vehicle.
Images that began circulating on social media show two apparently naked women with their bodies painted blue, the campaign colors of ACM Neto.
