Apple finally entered the foldable phone market with the iPhone Duo, which brings a camera system different from the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models. The company aims to serve different user profiles with these launches, especially those interested in photography and video recording.
The iPhone Duo bets on two 48-megapixel rear cameras, a decision made to keep the device thinner. The Pro models, on the other hand, feature three rear sensors, all with the same 48 MP resolution, offering more features for those seeking greater versatility in photos and videos.
One of the main differences is in zoom. The Duo reaches only 2x with optical quality and lacks a telephoto lens for photographing more distant objects. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max feature a third 48 MP camera specifically for longer distances, with up to 8x optical quality, providing more possibilities for different capture situations.
