Data from the National Accounts for the second quarter confirmed that the Portuguese economy grew 2.5% year-on-year, slightly above the 2.4% recorded in the previous quarter.
The Portuguese economy also accelerated significantly on a quarterly basis, going from growth of 0.1% to 0.8% quarter-on-quarter.
These data were previously released by the flash estimate and are described as signs of resilience that deserve to be valued.
Economic growth occurs in an international context described as very uncertain.
