The Left Block accused the Government of announcing measures for pensioners and taxpayers that it considers to be "crumbs" already "swallowed". The political force understands that the announced benefits were annulled by the rise in interest rates.
The party led by Catarina Martins considers that the measures presented by the Executive are not sufficient to face the current economic challenges. The criticism mainly targets the real impact of policies on citizens' lives.
The BE defends that a firmer policy against the increase in the cost of living is necessary. The party wants more robust measures to protect pensioners and taxpayers from the effects of inflation and the rise in interest rates.
