Miguel Costa Matos, former JS leader, PS MP and founder of the think tank "Instituto Progresso", harshly criticized Montenegro's leadership in the PSD. Costa Matos regrets that Montenegro is "unable to lift his head out of the sand" given the current political situation.
The founder of "Instituto Progresso" considers that Luís Montenegro should have dismissed Pedro Nuno Santos, current parliamentary leader of the PS, if he were in the Prime Minister's position. Costa Matos states that Neves has to go, referring to the need for replacement in the party's leadership.
This intervention comes in the context of political tensions between PSD and PS, with Costa Matos taking a critical position regarding both Montenegro and Neves, advocating for leadership changes in both parties.
