Pedro Costa, president of the Parish Council of Almoster, in the municipality of Santarém, announced his departure from the Socialist Party (PS). The local leader revealed that he will now serve his term as an independent.
The decision was made public by Pedro Costa himself through a message directed at the population of Almoster. In the communication, the president of the parish council assures that leaving the party does not affect his commitment to the residents.
With this change, Pedro Costa is no longer bound to the PS, now exclusively representing the local community's interests without any partisan affiliation.
