The Public Security Police (PSP) Union announced this Tuesday the holding of several protests nationwide still during this month of September, having already scheduled a national demonstration for October.
At issue is the lack of response from the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, who suspended negotiations with PSP unions in June. Police criticize the absence of dialogue on the part of the government official.
The union representatives guarantee that PSP professionals are unhappy with working conditions and intend to pressure the executive to resume negotiations. This is another round of protest in a sector that has been expressing its displeasure over the past months.
