After receiving more criticism than support on social media for the first time since the beginning of the crisis at the Supreme Court (STF), Minister André Mendonça returned to having a majority of positive mentions on social media in just 24 hours. This is shown in a report by Ativaweb DataLab released exclusively by GLOBO.
The data indicates that 77% of posts about Mendonça on Thursday were support, while 23% were criticism of the minister's performance. Among the recurring expressions are messages of confidence in Mendonça, defense of his posture and references like "will do justice" and "man of God".
According to Ativaweb DataLab, the narrative recovery was rapid in an environment still highly polarized. The change in scenario occurs amid the crisis at the STF, which includes a round of individual conversations between Minister Fachin and Ministers Moraes, Mendonça, Toffoli and Gonet before the trial scheduled for next Tuesday.
