Federal Police delegates want to "sensitize" the National Congress to guarantee the adoption of a three-name list in the selection of the corporation's director-general. The proposal is defended by the National Association of Federal Police Delegates (ADPF).
The president of ADPF, Edvandir Paiva, assesses that the root of the problems that caused the ongoing conflict at the Supreme Federal Court (STF) are the mutual distrusts between the director-general of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues, and Justice André Mendonça.
According to Edvandir Paiva, these distrusts could have been avoided if the head of the corporation were not simply a personal choice of the president of the Republic, without any mechanism for internal consultation or participation.
