Israel confirmed today the destruction of an alleged network of tunnels belonging to the Shiite group Hezbollah in the Ali Taher mountain range, in southern Lebanon, after a week of operations, according to the Israeli prime minister's office.
The operations were conducted by the Israeli army following the directives of the prime minister and Defense Minister Israel Katz, with the objective of establishing a security zone in southern Lebanon.
With the conclusion of this offensive, Israel considers the establishment of the security zone in the region complete, eliminating the underground infrastructure that allegedly belonged to Hezbollah in the Ali Taher mountain range.
