Ten degraded buildings in Coimbra started rehabilitation works after being notified by the municipality. The intervention comes within the scope of the municipal program that aims to combat urban degradation in the historic center of the city. The works began after the owners received notifications from the municipal council to proceed with the recovery of the properties.
The areas with the most intervention are concentrated in Baixa and Baixinha, which are central historic zones of Coimbra. In addition to these areas, the intervention also covers Avenida Emídio Navarro and Praça da República, other important zones in the city center. These areas are known for their architectural heritage and historical importance.
The municipality of Coimbra has been implementing measures to improve the state of conservation of buildings in the historic zone. The program of notifying owners is part of a broader strategy for the revitalization of the urban center. The local authorities are closely monitoring the progress of the works to ensure that the required conservation standards are met.
