Francisco "Chicão" Bueno started training Judo at three years old and, over five decades, went through various martial arts disciplines. As a child, he had a brief experience in Taekwondo but couldn't continue at Master Kim's academy due to his age. In the following years, he practiced Karate, Boxing, and Muay Thai, and later incorporated Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling into his training.
A black belt under André Pederneiras and currently a coral belt in Jiu-Jitsu, Chicão built much of his career in an era prior to the popularization of MMA. He competed in organizations such as IVC, Meca, Cage Warriors, and Pride, participating in the Vale-Tudo era in Brazil.
The former fighter highlights that each discipline contributed significantly to his formation, both as an athlete and as a human being. He considers Judo an incredible discipline and believes all the martial arts he practiced were part of his development, leading him to create his own working system.
The article also mentions a future fight of Chicão against Vovchanchyn, another well-known fighter in the mixed martial arts scene.
