Haddad revealed she has been in São Paulo for almost two months, during which she was able to reflect on her situation. According to her, the decision was already made inside her after returning from Wimbledon, and since then she has been taking care of herself, her mind and body.
The player stated she paid an absurd price to reach the top of the ranking and that her mental burnout was beyond normalcy. "Leaving the comfort zone was the biggest price I paid to reach the top," she declared. She highlighted that leaving her comfort zone was fundamental to achieving what she did.
To the fans who followed her, Bia explained that she had been coming off some consecutive defeats and that 2025 was a very difficult year. According to the tennis player, she was mentally exhausted and went through several adversities throughout her career, which made the decision to take a break even more necessary.
