On September 8th, on Rua de Santa Catarina, in Porto, the 1st Police Division of Porto proceeded with the arrest of a 45-year-old man for attempted robbery at a commercial establishment, using a razor.
The shopkeeper, a 53-year-old woman, was restocking supplies at the entrance of the store when she noticed someone had entered the establishment. Upon heading inside, she found that the suspect was already in possession of the cash contents from the cash register, preparing to leave the premises.
After a physical confrontation between the two, the suspect was eventually restrained with the support of civilians, with the arrest being announced upon the Police's arrival.
The man was presented to the competent judicial authority and, as he was already identified as a suspect in other criminal proceedings, was remanded in custody.
