The German government carried out a national emergency exercise in which it simulated a Russian missile attack scenario, which according to authorities would take less than six minutes to reach German territory. The test is part of a program to prepare the population for crisis situations.
This was already the sixth National Alert Day since these exercises were reintroduced in Germany. The warning was issued at 11:00 AM, initiating the simulated emergency scenario.
Approximately 45 minutes later, at 11:45 AM, the population received a message informing them that the simulated danger had ended, thus concluding the test exercise.
The main objective of these exercises is to assess how the German population would react to a real emergency and ensure that national warning systems function correctly in the event of an imminent threat.
