FIFA assured that the decision on the location that will host the 2030 football World Cup final, co-organized by Portugal, Spain, and Morocco, will be made "at the right time". The world football governing body guarantees that, as it had announced on August 5th, the decision will be revealed in due time.
This position from FIFA comes after the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, had stated today that the 2030 World Cup final would be held in Casablanca, Morocco.
The Moroccan federation thus publicly advanced the location of the final, contradicting FIFA's more cautious approach, which maintains that the decision has not yet been officially made.
The 2030 World Cup will be co-organized by Portugal, Spain, and Morocco, in a historic edition marking the tournament's return to Europe and Africa.
