Greek police are investigating the discovery of human remains in an abandoned area of Alepotrypa, in the Kypseli region of Athens. The case began on Tuesday, when a football coach found a torn blue bag containing a human skull and other bones after a ball used during a training session fell in the area.
On Wednesday, a second bag with smaller bones was found near the first discovery. It has not yet been confirmed whether this new material is also of human origin, and a forensic expert is expected to examine the bones found in this second bag.
The new location was reported to police by a citizen who called the authorities but did not stay at the scene until the teams arrived, according to the Greek website eMakedonia.
