The Portuguese government intends to tighten the rules for the attribution of public support to youth associations. The proposal establishes new criteria to define which entities can benefit from public support and under what conditions.
According to the proposal, youth associations, federations of youth associations, and informal youth groups can benefit from the support provided for in the regime. These entities will have access to financial and non-financial support.
On the other hand, youth organizations of a partisan or trade union nature will have more limited access to public support. These organizations may only have access to non-financial support, thus being excluded from the financial support available to other youth entities.
