Iran responds to the US: Houthis "do not take orders from anyone"

Iran rejected the United States' accusations that Houthi rebels act as Iran's representatives in the Yemen conflict. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs argued that the Houthi movement makes its own decisions independently.

Tehran emphasized that the Houthis do not take orders from anyone, contradicting the American claims pointing to a direct link between the Iranian government and the rebels in Yemen.

Tensions between the two countries intensified after Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea, which the United States attributes to Iranian influence over the rebel group.

Iran maintains its position that it has no operational control over the Houthis, despite evidence presented by the American administration regarding the relationship between Tehran and the rebels.
