Among the various judicial cases affecting the Government and PSOE, irregular financing constitutes the red line drawn by the parties that supported Sánchez's investiture to continue sustaining the Government. For this reason, it surprised at PSOE headquarters that Pedro Sánchez himself would avoid ruling out an indictment of the party as a legal entity during his first interview after returning from summer vacation.
On this Wednesday, during a new interview on TVE, while the PSOE manager was testifying within the framework of the Leire case, the head of the Executive again left this threat open, stating: "I do not know if they will indict us or not, but there is no irregular financing."
In the socialist leadership, they collected this hypothesis to prepare themselves for this possibility and try to reduce its political impact, without ceasing to transmit "tranquility." The party is working to minimize the political consequences if the indictment materializes.
