Forward Richarlison is trying to leave Tottenham through a judicial termination, a move indicated to the English club in recent weeks by his legal department. The player's and his agents' wish is that this departure leaves him free to play for Vasco until the end of 2026, when they could then negotiate a new contract in the next transfer window, whether to remain at the club or seek another market.
Aware of this movement, Vasco backed away from the purchase proposal after receiving the indication that the English would not accept values below 20 million euros, about R$ 120 million. The negotiation thus took on a new shape, with the Rio de Janeiro club needing to reassess its initial strategy.
The alternative found by Vasco would please the club, which wanted the loan and would not need to disburse a value it does not have at the moment, avoiding further debt. If the judicial termination is completed, Vasco would be accommodated this year in the desire to count on the forward, at no transfer cost.
