After two years of absence, FC Porto returned this Wednesday to the Champions League in handball. The Portuguese team played their first game in the European competition, marking their return to the main stage of continental handball.
The dragons were defeated by Veszprém, a Hungarian team with great tradition in the sport. The Hungarian side thus took the group lead, earning two points with this victory.
This result marks the beginning of a new European campaign for FC Porto, who sought to reassert themselves in the elite of European handball after the period of absence from the competition.
