The 2026 ranking of the safest and least safe cities in the world was released, revealing that Doha ranks first as the safest large city on the planet. At the opposite end of the ranking is Caracas, Venezuela, ranking among the most dangerous cities in the world.

The study analyzed several cities around the globe, considering multiple safety indicators. The results show an unequal distribution of safety levels among different regions of the world.

A striking finding from the ranking is that no European city appears on the list, neither among the safest nor among the least safe. This suggests that Europe may be in an intermediate position regarding global urban safety, or simply was not included in the analysis.

The ranking serves as a tool for travelers, businesses, and governments to assess risks associated with different urban destinations around the world.
