Castelló officially began a new festive cycle on Wednesday with an eye on the Magdalena 2027 festivities, during an emotional event held at the Provincial Deputation. The event marked the beginning of the celebrations that will culminate in three years with one of the city's most important festivities.
The ceremony was presided over by the festival queens, María Collados and Nayra Luque, who took center stage at the opening ceremony. The two young women represented the central role in the upcoming celebrations that will peak with the Magdalena 2027 edition.
In addition to the queens, the event featured the participation of the city's top festive representatives, including the Lady of the City Na Violant d'Hongria, Raquel Guillén, as well as the godmothers and presidents of the 19 gaiatas, which are the traditional groups that participate in Castelló's festivals.
Also attending the event were members of the Managing Council of the Municipal Festivities Patronage, as well as political representatives at the provincial and municipal levels, demonstrating the importance that this celebration holds for local authorities and the community of Castelló.
