Outside the finalists, Raphinha shows discomfort with question about Ballon d'Or: 'I don't talk about that'

Barcelona striker Raphinha showed discomfort when questioned about the Ballon d'Or after the team's 5-1 victory over Feyenoord on Wednesday (9) in the Champions League. The Brazilian, who scored two goals in the match, preferred not to comment on the award. "I don't talk about that, I only talk about Barcelona. We are having an spectacular season," Raphinha said at the Camp Nou.

Raphinha's absence was considered one of the biggest surprises on the list of 30 Ballon d'Or finalists. The striker was one of Barcelona's main standouts in winning La Liga in the 2025/26 season, having scored 21 goals and provided seven assists in 33 games wearing the Barça shirt.

Only three Brazilians appeared among the 30 finalists: defenders Gabriel Magalhães of Arsenal and Marquinhos of PSG, plus striker Vinícius Jr. of Real Madrid. Raphinha was left off the list but was remembered by coach Carlo Ancelotti, who commented on the situation of the Brazilian player.
