Warner Bros. released on Wednesday (9) the final trailer for "Digger," the new film by Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu, Oscar winner for "The Revenant" and "Birdman." In the video, Tom Cruise appears completely unrecognizable playing the protagonist of the story.
The actor is already being pointed out as a possible Oscar 2027 contender for his performance in the film. Iñárritu is also considered a strong candidate for the Best Director statuette for his work.
The film follows a man described as "the most powerful in the world," who after creating an environmental disaster, decides to fix the situation and position himself as humanity's great savior. The cast also includes Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jesse Plemons.
"Digger" is set to release on October 1st in Brazilian theaters.
