Carlo Ancelotti called up ten players who play in Brazilian football this Wednesday for the friendly matches of the Brazilian national team against Australia and India. This call-up represents the highest presence of athletes from clubs in the country in an open list of the national team in the last 13 years.

The ten Brazilian players called up were goalkeepers Hugo Souza, from Corinthians, Pedro Morisco, from Coritiba, and Otávio, from Cruzeiro; defender Arthur Dias, from Athletico-PR; full-back Matheuzinho, from Corinthians; midfielders Breno Bidon, also from Corinthians, Danilo, from Botafogo, and Gabriel Bontempo, from Santos; as well as forwards Pedro and Samuel Lino, from Flamengo.

The last time the Brazilian national team had at least ten players from national football in a call-up was on May 14, 2013, when Luiz Felipe Scolari listed 11 athletes from clubs in the country among the 23 chosen for friendly matches against England and France and for the Confederations Cup.

At the time, Felipão called up Diego Cavalieri, Jefferson, Jean, Réver, Fernando, Paulinho, Jadson, Bernard, among other players who were playing in Brazil.
