The governing council of the UN's atomic watchdog today reported Iran to the Security Council, for the first time in 20 years. The decision was made due to Iran's non-compliance with nuclear obligations. This is the first time in two decades that Tehran has been reported to the UN's main decision-making body. The measure represents a significant worsening of tensions between Iran and the international community regarding the Iranian nuclear program.
