The Chega party requested the parliamentary hearing of the national director of the Polícia Judiciária, Carlos Cabreiro, for him to provide testimony in person about the information transmitted to the Minister of Justice regarding the Pacoba operation.
The request comes at a time when André Ventura, leader of Chega, accuses Rita Alarcão Júdice of having lied to Parliament, raising questions about the veracity of the information provided to the deputies.
The party intends that Carlos Cabreiro be heard "in person" in a parliamentary committee, in order to clarify the details of the Pacoba operation and the circumstances under which the information reached the executive.
This hearing is part of the context of a political power struggle between Chega and the Ministry of Justice, with the party demanding greater transparency about the operations of the Polícia Judiciária.
