Telecinco is reinforcing its bet on the game show 'Rueda la letra' after being accused of plagiarizing the show 'Pasapalabra'. The contest, hosted by Carlos Sobera, brings back the historic 'Rosco' and was the target of a legal threat by Atresmedia and ITV Studios, who are studying presenting legal action against the similarity between the two formats.
The audience figures did not meet the channel's expectations. The show premiered with a market share of around 9.1% and later dropped to 8%, far from the revulsive effect that Telecinco was expecting for its afternoon slots.
Despite the discreet results, Mediaset's channel continued to announce news in the show's schedule. 'Rueda la letra' now also jumps to weekend programming, occupying a new time slot that aims to improve the show's audience numbers.
