The prime minister today defended a reflection on the results of the PISA study in Portugal, considering that the results "were not the best". The head of the Executive emphasized the government's work focus in this area.
The Government's effort goes towards "re-implementing a culture of rigor" and quality in Education. This position was expressed by the prime minister in the context of the analysis of international education data.
The PISA study assesses the performance of 15-year-old students in literacy, mathematics and science competencies, being considered an important indicator of the education system of each country. Portugal's results have been followed with attention by the Executive.
