The Socialist Party demanded explanations from the Ministry of Justice about the closure of the Judicial Court of Alvaiázere, which occurred after the passage of storm Kristin through the region. The political formation intends to understand the reasons that led to the closure of the local instance.
The damage caused by storm Kristin requires significant interventions in the court building. The necessary works were estimated at 178 thousand euros, plus VAT, a considerable amount for the rehabilitation of the infrastructure.
The planned interventions include the total replacement of the building's roof, as well as the repair of damage to the floor and walls. These works are essential to guarantee the operating conditions of the court.
The Ministry of Justice has not yet provided public clarification on the scheduled timeline for the completion of the works nor on when it will be possible to reopen the Alvaiázere Court.
