The Lisbon City Council approved this Wednesday a proposal related to public procurement for the conservation and maintenance of pedestrian pavements in the city. The contract will cost more than 3.2 million euros and is valid until 2028.
The Lisbon municipality acknowledges that it has been receiving increasingly more complaints related to the poor condition of pedestrian pavements in the Portuguese capital. This situation prompted the decision to proceed with a significant investment in the repair and maintenance of these infrastructures.
The approved amount, exceeding 3.2 million euros, will be used for interventions in various areas of the city of Lisbon over the coming years, ensuring continuous attention to the condition of sidewalks and other pedestrian areas.
