The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, dissolved Parliament and called legislative elections for October 25. This decision comes at a time of great political tension in the country.
Vucic announced that he will be a candidate for the position of head of Government, thus taking a central role in the upcoming electoral dispute.
During the announcement, Vucic lamented the "great turbulence" Serbia is currently going through, expressing concern about the country's political and social situation.
The Serbian President attributed this instability to "foreign forces," without specifying which countries or entities might be involved in the alleged interference.
