Chega demands answers from Funchal City Council regarding SocioHabita and intervention in Amparo

The Chega municipal group in Funchal submitted two requests to the Municipal Assembly at the beginning of this week, demanding formal and urgent responses from the municipal executive. The first request concerns the municipal company SocioHabitaFunchal, questioning compliance with rental contracts and the collection of overdue rent. The leader of the municipal group, Maria do Carmo Gomes, considers these to be fundamental questions for transparency in the management of public funds and for the proper administration of municipal assets. The second request is related to land-use planning issues in the Amparo area, a neighbourhood that has raised concerns regarding urban development intervention in the zone. Chega thus intends to obtain concrete answers about the actions of the Funchal City Council on these two matters, demanding accountability and detailed information about municipal management.
