The village of Ulme, in the municipality of Chamusca, hosts from Friday to Sunday the sixth edition of the festival dedicated to rice, a food that is described as king in this region. The event celebrates the importance of rice in local culture and economy.
The festival "Já Te Dou o Arroz" brings together producers, cooks and visitors interested in cuisine based on this cereal. Ulme is known for the production of quality rice, taking advantage of the natural conditions of the Ribatejo region.
During the three days of the event, multiple activities related to rice are expected, from culinary demonstrations to tasting sessions. The event aims to promote local products and boost community life.
The event in Chamusca is part of a tradition of Portuguese popular festivals dedicated to regional agricultural products, seeking to enhance the territory and its traditional flavors.
