The Bairrada Eco Challenge reached a new participation record, gathering 2,500 participants at this event. The number represents a significant milestone for the competition in the region.
The participants came from 13 different districts, demonstrating the national reach of the event. In addition to those from the mainland, it also featured the participation of athletes from the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
One of the most relevant aspects of this edition was the strong female participation. For the first time, the number of registered women exceeded the number of men, representing a historic milestone for the event.
