Prime Minister Montenegro responded to a censure motion with measures to support Portuguese families. The executive announced an extraordinary pension supplement that reaches more than two million pensioners.
Pensioners receiving up to 1,611.13 euros will be included in this extraordinary supplement, which will be paid together with the December pension. This is a measure aimed at retirees with lower pensions.
At the same time, an IRS reduction on salaries was approved, a tax relief measure that benefits another two million families. This fiscal impact is already being felt from November.
The measures arise in the context of a censure motion against the government, at a time of political pressure on Montenegro's executive.
