The Odemira City Council invested 78,100 euros in the acquisition of school supplies for the 2026-2027 school year. The municipality granted a total of 3,124 vouchers, each worth 25 euros, to support families in the municipality.
The support covers all students in primary, secondary, and vocational education attending public and private schools in the municipality of Odemira.
This measure is part of the municipal strategy for Education, implemented through the OdeTE project – Odemira Educational Territory. This project promotes networked governance and its main objectives are the promotion of educational success, the prevention of early school dropout, and the increase of qualification levels.
The municipality highlighted that the initiative contributes to reducing the financial burden on families at the beginning of the school year and promotes equal opportunities in access to resources necessary for learning, while also boosting local commerce through the purchase of school supplies at stationery shops and schools in the municipality.
