Elevador da Glória: Chega gets distracted and BE motion passes

A motion presented by the Left Bloc (BE) about the Glória elevator accident, in Lisbon, was approved at the Municipal Assembly.

The parties PSD, CDS-PP and Iniciativa Liberal (IL) voted against the motion. Chega also intended to vote against, but ended up getting distracted, failing to register its vote in time.

Due to Chega's distraction, the motion managed to pass. Had the party voted as intended, the motion would have been rejected.

The Glória elevator is a historic Lisbon funicular that connects the Baixa to the Bairro Alto.
