Ricardo Leão is the mayor of Loures, a municipality in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. During a day spent accompanying the mayor, several of his political positions and plans for the municipality were revealed.
Among the projects mentioned, Ricardo Leão announced the intention to build a two-hectare wave pool in Bobadela, a locality in the municipality. The mayor takes a direct action stance, stating that he goes into debt to carry out projects.
On national politics, the mayor commented that the Chega party cannot be left talking alone, and referred to José Luís Carneiro as a "hard worker," saying he needs to learn how to galvanize people.
Regarding housing, Ricardo Leão stated that it cannot be only for the poor, while simultaneously declaring war on shacks, but ensuring he does not forget the middle class.
