Prime Minister Montenegro announced a reduction in income tax and a gift for pensionists during the censure motion against the Government. This promise was made in the context of a debate that took place for more than three hours in parliament.
The censure motion was presented by Chega, but ended up being rejected with only the deputies from this party voting in favor. All other parties voted against or abstained.
During the debate, there was widespread criticism of the Minister of Internal Administration, who was ironically described as "excellent" by several opposition parties. This criticism of the Executive member set the tone for the debate.
The outcome of the vote confirmed the maintenance of support for the Government, with the censure motion failing to gather enough support to pass, despite the political tensions evidenced during the discussion.
