Leo Messi reached a preliminary agreement to become the main shareholder of Eldense, a football club in the Spanish second division. The operation was advanced by Radio Marca and represents a significant change in the ownership of the azulgrana club.
The TH group, which until now owned the club with Carolina Holguín as president and Juan Carlos Trujillo as managing director, completed the sale of Eldense to the Argentine player. Messi, considered by many the best footballer of all time, currently plays for Inter Miami.
The agreement was closed at a value much higher than what the Colombian group paid just 11 months ago to Eldense businessman Pascual Pérez to acquire the entity. This transaction marks the entry of one of the most iconic figures in world football into the ownership of a European club.
