Sport Arronches e Benfica was present at the XIII Trail do Sor last Sunday with a group of 8 athletes, representing the club in this trail running competition. The race featured different distances, including Long Trail and Short Trail.
The big highlight of the competition was César Estrela, who achieved the overall victory in the Long Trail, completing the course in 2 hours, 17 minutes and 8 seconds. In addition to the overall first place, César Estrela also won the M35 category. José Andrade was another standout athlete in the same race, finishing in ninth place overall and taking third place in the M35 category, with a time of 2 hours, 46 minutes and 58 seconds.
In the Short Trail, João Paulino finished in 21st place overall and fourth place in the Sen M category, with a time of 1 hour, 34 minutes and 37 seconds. Eduardo Picado completed the race in 34th place overall and sixth place in the M45 category.
The collective performance of Sport Arronches e Benfica was marked by several outstanding results in the different distances of the competition, demonstrating the strength of the club in trail running events.
