The Regional Government of Madeira is preparing to set the regional minimum wage at 1,050 euros in 2027. The value was confirmed by Miguel Albuquerque, who pointed to a decision coordinated between PSD and CDS, the two parties that support the Madeiran executive.
The news published by DIÁRIO prompted several comments on social media. Among them, a reader questioned whether the amount should not be 1,200 euros, apparently referring to a previous promise.
In response, A. Vasconcelos clarified that the value of 1,200 euros would be reached "throughout the legislature," suggesting that the PSD's campaign promise stipulated this value on a different time horizon than the one now announced.
