Scott McTominay, Scottish international from Naples, underwent a heart operation that went with "total success". The 27-year-old midfielder did not specify what heart problem led him to be operated on, but the Italian club informed that the surgical procedure went without complications.
McTominay, who transferred to Naples during the last transfer window from Manchester United, will now have to rest for two weeks before he can resume training with the main team. The recovery period will keep him off the pitch for some time, but he is expected to return fully recovered.
This operation comes at a time when the player was trying to establish himself at the Neapolitan club, where he has not yet managed to show his best football due to physical problems that have been affecting him since the start of the season.
