Ginásio Clube Figueirense is going to celebrate Gym Day on September 19th, with a day open to the community at Pavilhão Galamba Marques and the club's swimming pool. The program includes a morning of trial sessions at 10:00, an Awards Ceremony at 12:00 to honor the national champions and international athletes of the 2024/2025 season, and a social lunch at 13:00, bringing together athletes, members, coaches, families and friends of an institution with 131 years of history.
The 2026/2027 sports season began on September 1st, with the return to training for basketball, boxing, football, kickboxing, swimming, rowing, volleyball and table tennis. In rowing, Rodrigo Lopes and Tomás Gomes became national champions in C2x Under-19 at the National Beach Sprints Rowing Championship, held in Cascais on September 5th and 6th, while Licínia Ferreira and Fernanda Vasco won bronze in C2x Veterans.
The senior table tennis team won the 8th Nicolau Mónica Tournament, held at Pavilhão Galamba Marques, a competition that brought together approximately 40 athletes from 12 teams. In beach volleyball, the second edition of Ginásio Beach Volley featured 23 teams and approximately 130 athletes at Praia do Din's, almost doubling the 12 teams of the first edition.
On September 15th, the club hosted the community from CSB | ISCAC – Coimbra Business School for another edition of the "ISCAC Train," an initiative that took students, faculty and staff to Figueira da Foz for an afternoon of sport and socializing.
